There has been thrown TC’s scanner of 80 rows by a new detector by an efficiency of significantly improved image and many other new technologies.

The new Aquilion Prime SP was presented by Toshiba Medical Systems Europa (Zoetermeer, Holland). Besides the new detector PUREViSION, the scanner also allows the automatic selection of the kV depending on the size of the patient and of the clinical task. The technology SUREExposure, of Toshiba, optimizes the use of the agents of contrast with iodine, reducing the risk and the costs for the patients, and a new set of solutions of Adaptative Diagnosis diminishes the necessary time to realize the complex examinations, improves the diagnostic precision and the reproducibilidad. The technology of reduction of metallic appliances of neutral dose, Reduction of Metal appliances of Simple Energy Toshiba’s (SEMAR), uses an advanced technology(skill) of reconstruction that eliminates metallic appliances In the images and it(he,she) improves the visualization of the implants.

The new scanner also incorporates Dual Energy, the patent technology Toshiba Medical’s Iodine Mapping and the new Spiral Variable Parameters of 3 phases (three-phase VHP) to change the speed of the table and the parameters of image into the same one. The scanner allows to combine up to three protocols in the unique tomography computarizada, reducing the dose to the patients and the appliances of movement, and allowing a more efficient use of the agents of contrast.
